BOYS TOYS!

Hellooooo!  I am kicking off this weeks theme here of BOYS TOYS .  With small boys in mind I have decorated the fantastic CHALK BOARD TRAIN for a tiddly near me :-D  Now this particular tiddly gets very excited when a certain 'Thomas' is on the T.V. so I have used the same colours.

The train has been painted with acrylics and I use special Clear Chalkboard Paint for the inside.   The train comes with a little attachable tray to hold the chalk but I decided not to use it this time.  Here is the kit...

MEMO/CHALK BOARD - TRAIN

You can now buy direct from Tando Creative and I have linked the train to the retail site.  There is also a lovely FAIRY CASTLE chalkboard for the girlies!

Thank you for taking a look today, HUGS xxx

Transport - Deep Blue Sea Arch

Hi Tando fans! Dana here sharing an Arabian-Style Arch that I created for the Transport theme this week. I love being on the water and have fond memories of sailing on the weekends with my family as a child. Anything that stay at sea too long becomes worn and weathered, so I went with a subdued color palette. The images and text on this arch are stamped with the Susan K. Weckesser Sail Away Stamp Set. I added some clouds and a bird to complete the scene.

Thanks for stopping by! You can now swing by the Tando Retail Store to pick up these pieces today!

TRANSPORT WEEK!

Hi!  Its TRANSPORT week!!!!!

Do you travel by train a lot?  I use the trains a few times a year and get quite paranoid about missing them hahaha!  I dug around a found a very sensible quote about catching a train on time hahaha!  This has been used with a pretty train from a small Travel Set, which also has a boat, a plane, a suitcase, ticket and boarding pass.  Great for using in a travel journal or for scrapbooking!  I have made a hanging plaque with the train...

The base is part of a set of Arabian Arches.  I found some clock paper, painted it yellow and stuck it on.  The train has been painted with acrylics and decorated with buttons, glossy accents and doodling.

The TRAVEL SET...comes in 2 sizes..

The ARABIAN ARCH has 5 layers as well as the frame...so a good buy...

Thank you for popping by, HUGS, Karen x

Live Strong - Free For All

Hey Tando Fans!!  It's Kerri here with a colorful tag for this weeks Free-For-All theme.

I used a few different Tando goodies in this project.  I colored the tag using a couple different Prima Chalk Edgers.  Then I used a Tim Holtz stamp with a Prima Resist Chalk Edger on the mini tag and then shaded other it with another Chalk Edger.  I then stamped my sentiment on my mini tag.

I used a combination of Prima Chalk Edgers and Tim Holtz Distress Paints to color all of the wonderful Tando Chipboards.

I hope you all enjoy my project!!

A NEW CHRISTMAS KIT

Helloooo!  I know its not nearly Christmas yet but us crafters have to think about these things early don't we?  mmm...perhaps its a little too early for some but when I saw the new ART ROOM that Di has designed so many ideas popped into my head but the Christmas one wouldn't budge ;-D  You have to go with your gut feelings don't you and here is what I came up with...

You can imagine how excited I was when Di wanted it to be a kit!!!  Lots of delicious fiddly bits here, all Tando (except the bobble trim).  The little grate pulls out so that you can pop an electric T-light inside it.  3 for £1 in that shop where all the prices are the same hahaha!  There will be downloadable instructions for this kit so for now I will just show you some pics...

A glowing 'fire'...

A tiled grate...

Decorative Holly...

The top half...

The original Art Room - what would you do with it????

Home Sweet Home : Free for all week with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to our June Free for all week.
Today I am going to show you my 6*6'' altered canvas without a name. You can call it Home sweet Home or Family one, but there was no place to add the title and actually no need. It speaks for itself.
The background was stamped and  then I added those lovely  Tando mini  houses  and fences  and a Flourish #7 as a roof for this stamped family.

And the products used  here

See you soon again!

Circles and Stars card with a video

For this Free For All I've made a card with a video to show how I made it:

I've used the following products:

~{Diamond Circles Mask}~
~{Drain Cover Mask}~
~{Mini Stars}~

Once I'd finished the video, I decided that the background needed a few blue diamonds through the Drain Cover Mask to complete it.

Anthing Goes - Gothic Arch Set

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today sharing a set of Gothic Arches for the Anything Goes theme this week. These small chipboard arches measure about 4x3 inches and were the perfect size for creating some fun little scenes.

I have one small gnome that was left in the yard of my first home. We fell in love with the little guy and he has traveled with us with each move over the past 10 years. I modeled this gnome after him.

I covered the arch with patterned papers, which I personalized with some doodling in black to help separate the layers. I then piled on stamped images that I colored simply with Sharpies. I added some fun texture to the gnome and butterfly with white dimensional paint.

I began this arch the same as the previous one, with patterned paper that I doodled on. I tore several of the layers for added interest. Once the background was to my liking, I layered on the swirly clouds, colorful houses and the "home" sentiment.

I attached several of the houses to my arch with foam dots for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Squares ATC

Hello all!!  I am a new addition to the Tando team.  My name is Kerri-Jo Sharp, I was a guest designer for the month of April and when my month was up I was asked to come on the permanent team, YAY ME!!!

So here is my project for my first week, Squares is the theme!!

This is an ATC (Artist Trading Card) decorated with Inchies.  I covered the ATC with paper by Christy Tomlinson.  The inchies I gessoed first and then painted them with some Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Paint.  Then I placed the 4 of them together and stamped this sentiment by Tim Holtz on them.  I then attached the inchies to the ATC and added some rhinestones for a little sparkle.

Sentiment says:  "live in the moment and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering"

I look forward to creating lots of great stuff for Tando.  I also do videos of my projects and I also do tutorials on my YouTube Channel so I would love for you all to head over and subscribe to my channel so you can watch me create with awesome Tando goodness!

Father's Day Card

I made a Father's Day card for our Squares Week:

I taped off some squares on the ~{Oblong Square Long Mask}~ and inked randomly on the card blank, and doodled around them.
I then painted a ~{Straight Twinchie}~ and stamped onto it for the base.
I used 3 hearts from the ~{Hearts Mini Pack}~ and painted them, doodled a border and stuck them together with glossy accents.
I finished off with a stamped greeting.

Love your book: simple bookmark with Tando

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here again and this time with a very simple, but lovely book mark, made for our Squares week.

For this projects I used the cover of Tim Holtz Kraft paper as it was a kind of a thin chipboard cover and made it my bookmark base. (I really feel god when I can recycle things and not to spend too much money when I craft, so don't forget those paper pads covers as they are free and thick).

Then I used 4 white chipboard squares from this Jewelry Tando set and one heart piece. I know that I have 3 frames without the  inner parts left, but it's very easy to cut this inner part after all when I need it.

I added Tando letters and glued them over the white chipboards and then misted them together with copper and teal mists to get this vintage two colours look.
I added metallic copper cardstock under the kraft base and die cut small word Love to add into the bare frame. Some trims and metal key were added for the fancy look. This whole project is very easy to make and can be done with kids or as a mass production small gifts. It can be done in any colour and with any background cardstock  too.
And here are the products used on this  project

FOUR SQUARES!

Hello lovely bloggers!

Tando is getting all SQUARED UP this week!  I chose to have a play with some TWINCHIES this time.  Did you know that Tando sold packs of 10 for under £2 (at time of writing this)?  They are lovely and sturdy too.

These twinchies have been painted with Fresco painted then stamped in white with some bubble wrap before being doodled.  The little birds are from Stampotique and I have added hats to them.  They look like they are going to a party...or have they been? hahahaha!!!!!  I hinged the twicies together so that they would be free standing but ooops!!!!  I glued all the hinges on the same way so, although they stand up, they don't zig-zag as I would have liked.  Another lesson learned!!!!

Do pop back see what the other DT-ers have done.  Thank you for looking today, HUGS, Karen  xxx
